Dingo Dispatch · Policy draft

Terms of Use

This proposed wording is for owner and independent legal review. It describes the service currently presented on the site and marks terms that still need a business decision.

Draft — owner review required

This wording is not approved policy or legal advice. The owner must review and confirm the open details before publication as final terms.

Status and scope

These are draft terms for the Dingo Dispatch website, free newsletter and account features. They are not approved or effective terms. The owner must confirm the contracting entity, the point at which users accept final terms, the effective date and any required notices before treating them as binding.

The Dingo Dispatch service

The site currently describes a free weekly email planned for delivery Thursday at 9:00 a.m. Australia/Brisbane time (AEST, UTC+10), with official booking links, source-led travel notes, trip ideas and editorial content. The site says that Dingo Dispatch does not book campsites for readers or republish live availability. Readers should check the linked official sources for current bookings, closures, road conditions, fire warnings and weather before travelling.

The schedule and content can change. The owner should confirm how subscribers will be notified of material service changes before this draft is approved.

Newsletter enrollment and stopping emails

Newsletter enrollment is separate from account creation and requires the reader to affirmatively select the newsletter consent box. Every newsletter email provides a one-click unsubscribe link. Using that link stops the address from being treated as an active newsletter subscription; it does not by itself delete an account or other records.

The newsletter is presented as free and does not create a paid service or charge.

Accounts and features

The account sign-up form requests a name, email address and password. The landing page currently says the account-based first-issue offer and issue redemption are not available. Readers should not assume that account creation grants access to an issue or paid feature unless the site later says that feature is open.

The owner should confirm account eligibility, account closure, credential support and any account-specific rules before enabling the related offer.

Paid offers and refunds

The landing page currently marks paid checkout as closed. Although it displays proposed annual and single-issue prices, this draft does not open checkout, accept an order or establish payment terms. Before any paid feature launches, the owner must publish the exact offer, total price and taxes, billing and renewal rules, cancellation steps, refund handling and applicable consumer rights.

Nothing in this draft is intended to exclude or restrict a right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted. Any final limitation or remedy language requires owner and legal review.

Content and external sources

The site describes its material as general information and points readers to official park, road, emergency and weather sources. Conditions, availability and external pages can change after a check. Readers remain responsible for checking official information and making their own travel arrangements; Dingo Dispatch does not make a campsite booking on a reader’s behalf.

Proposed content rule for owner approval: allow personal reading of Dingo Dispatch material and require permission for commercial reuse or republication, subject to rights that apply by law. The owner must confirm the rights in all text, images and other material before adopting this rule.

Open decisions for the owner

Before publication, confirm the business identity and jurisdiction, account and content rules, how changes and complaints are handled, the rights in published material, and final wording about responsibility and remedies. Add an effective date and ensure the on-site acceptance flow matches the approved terms.
